Faspond is a Traditional Chinese keyboard for iPhone with a database behind it that is only yours. Save the things you keep explaining as cards; then, in any text field, one tap writes the reply out of what you saved. Replies you type yourself can go back into the database too — the longer you use it, the better it knows how you say things.
FaspondReplies stand on cards you wrote. With nothing to stand on it does not invent an answer — it offers to check instead.
It is a system keyboard. Switch to it and it is there — no moving the message into another app and back.
After you send a reply you typed yourself, the keyboard offers to add it to that card. One tap, and the same question has an answer next time.
Typing, deleting, returning and switching keyboards all happen on the device. None of it opens a connection.
How it works
Three controls, one reply
The AI page has three round buttons — cite, AI, delete — and one white capsule in the middle holding the message you pasted.
Paste the message
Copy it, switch to Faspond, tap Paste. iOS shows its own “Allow Paste?” prompt — Faspond never reads the clipboard in the background.
Check which of your cards it cites
Faspond finds the closest card in your database and prints its name under the message. Tap “@” to pick a different one. You know what the reply stands on before you send it.
Tap AI; the reply is written
It goes straight into the field you are already in. Tap again to rewrite, or switch to the typing page and edit it yourself before sending.

A card is one thing you know
It can hold a passage, or several question-and-answer pairs. People ask the same thing ten ways and it is still one card — the keyboard matches meaning, not wording.
Drop in a screenshot, get a card
Hand it a screenshot or a block of text you already have and the AI drafts a card from it. You read and edit the draft before anything is saved. The slowest part of starting a database from nothing is the part this removes.
Folders keep your lives apart
Work, freelance, the club you run — separate folders. The keyboard only ever cites something that is actually in your database.
Clipboard library
Addresses, account numbers, tax ids — typed once. The keyboard’s left page is a grid of cards; one tap pastes one.

After you paste, Faspond matches the closest card and shows its name. Which card the reply came from is something you see before you send.
What is not in your database, it will not invent
With nothing to stand on, Faspond does not make something up on your behalf. It offers to check, and leaves the decision with you.
Numbers and links survive intact
Names, figures, dates, amounts and URLs are compared against what you saved. If the model changed any of them, the reply is dropped and your own answer is used instead.
With a draft already there, it tidies instead
The same AI button takes out filler and repetition, puts the punctuation back and orders the sentences — without adding a claim you never made.

Only what you send gets learned
After you send a reply you typed yourself, the keyboard offers to add it to the cited card. It is saved when you tap “✓”, and not otherwise. That is how the database grows, a day at a time.
Describe your tone in your own words
Pick a tone, or write how you want to sound. In the app you can type one sentence and see what that tone does to it, rather than finding out mid-conversation.
Writing-style learning (off by default)
Turn it on and Faspond learns your wording and sentence shapes from the replies you send, so later replies read more like you. It is a separate consent from AI processing — agreeing to have one message answered is not agreeing to be studied — and you can switch it off at any time.
Learned something wrong? Delete it
Cards can be edited or deleted, tones rewritten, style learning switched off. The database is yours, including the right to shrink it.
Privacy
Privacy you can check, not privacy we promise
You are handing what you know to a keyboard, and a keyboard can see everything you type. That is what iOS grants a keyboard extension, and it is the question to ask of every third-party keyboard. Here is what Faspond does with it.
No microphone
Neither the app nor the keyboard declares a microphone purpose string, and neither contains recording or speech-recognition code. The system keyboard’s dictation key still works — that is iOS, not Faspond.
No request until you tap AI
The keyboard appearing, typing, deleting, returning and switching to the next keyboard produce no network request, and nothing around your caret is read.
The clipboard is read when you ask
Faspond does not poll the system pasteboard and does not cache what it finds. When you tap Paste, iOS shows its own “Allow Paste?” prompt and does its job.
AI processing is consented first
You read what leaves the device before the first AI action. The consent is enforced on the server: without it the request is refused, not merely hidden in the UI.
“Sounds like you” is something you switch on
Writing-style learning ships off, and it is a separate decision from AI processing. With it on, the replies you send become numbers in your account — there is no column holding the text.
The whole database can be deleted
Settings › Data & Account › Delete Account removes the account and every card, tone and style value in it, without writing to us. For accounts created with Apple, the Sign in with Apple grant is revoked at the same time.
Getting started
It starts with one card
iOS puts two switches in front of every third-party keyboard, and Faspond cannot turn either of them on for you. The third step is the one that makes it useful.
Add Faspond to your keyboards
Settings › General › Keyboard › Keyboards › Add New Keyboard…, then pick Faspond. After this the zhuyin, English and number layouts work.
Allow Full Access
Tap Faspond again and turn on Allow Full Access. The keyboard needs it to reach the AI service and read your database. Without it you still get typing and the clipboard library — just no AI.
Save your first card
Open the app, go to the Knowledge tab, and save the thing you have already explained three times this week. The keyboard’s replies come from here; with an empty database there is nothing to cite.
AI features need an account and a network connection. This version is free, with no in-app purchases and no subscription.
FAQ
Worth asking before you install
How does “sounds more like you” actually work?
Two things, and both are things you pressed. First, after you send a reply you typed yourself, the keyboard offers to add it to the card it cited — it is saved on a tap of “✓”. Your database fills out, and the next version of that question has something to stand on.
Second is writing-style learning, which is off by default and consented separately. With it on, Faspond learns your wording and sentence shapes from replies you send. In your account it is a set of numbers; no column holds the text, and switching it off stops it.
How long do I have to spend building the database first?
One card is enough to start. Write down the thing you explained again this week and the keyboard has something to cite.
If you would rather not start from blank, drop a screenshot or a block of existing text into the app and the AI drafts a card from it, which you read and edit before saving.
Does Faspond record audio?
No. Neither bundle declares a microphone permission, and there is no recording or speech-recognition code in either. A test in the repository fails the build if any of that reappears.
The dictation key on the system keyboard is an iOS feature; its text goes straight into the field and never touches Faspond.
Is everything I type sent somewhere?
No. Only the tap on “AI” sends anything: the message you pasted, the draft you are writing, and the contents of the card being cited.
Typing, deleting, returning and switching keyboards send nothing, and the text around your caret is never read.
Who sees what I send?
Faspond’s AI service, then OpenRouter as the model gateway, then the provider of whichever model handled that request — Anthropic, Google or OpenAI.
The content is not stored in a Faspond database and is not written to logs; the logs hold timings, error codes and request ids. The full list is in the privacy policy.
Why does it need Full Access?
An iOS keyboard extension cannot open a network connection or read data shared with its containing app until Full Access is granted. Faspond needs it to call the AI service and to read your database and clipboard library.
Without it the zhuyin, English and number layouts still work; only the AI actions ask you to turn it on.

This version is free, with no in-app purchases and no subscription.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings › Data & Account › Delete Account. It removes your cards, tone settings, style data and usage records; for accounts created with Apple it also revokes the Sign in with Apple grant.
